This online crime and thriller writing short course is suitable for both beginners or those with some experience who want to improve their skills and receive feedback. The course will cover the fundamentals of writing a crime novel, including plot, characterization, and building suspense. Students will also have the opportunity to receive feedback on their own work. The course is led by Caroline Green, a best-selling author of crime fiction. She is a graduate of the Faber Academy and has an MA in Creative Writing from City University. Caroline has also taught crime fiction writing for the University of Oxford and the Arvon Foundation. The course is ten weeks long and takes place once a week for ten weeks, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The course fee is £290. Students who complete the course will be able to:

- Create believable characters
- Understand plot twists and how to use them
- Use effective description
- Build tension and pace
- Create settings that evoke a strong sense of place
