Entry Requirements:


EU Home Students:

  • A good standard of secondary education is required.
  • Completion of at least 5 GCSEs at grade A-C, including English Language.
  • A strong interest in Arabic language and culture.

International/Overseas Students (Non-EU):

  • International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with a minimum of 24 points.
  • A-Levels with a minimum of three passes at grade C or above.
  • Successful completion of a recognized English language qualification such as IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in any band, or equivalent.
  • A strong interest in Arabic language and culture.

Language Proficiency Requirements:


All applicants:

  • No prior knowledge of Arabic is required for the beginners course.
  • For the intermediate course, some experience with Arabic is required.
  • Applicants should be able to read and write the Arabic alphabet, and have a basic understanding of grammar.
