Program Description:

The program combines Level 1 in-class training with an introduction to secondary trades and safety. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of plumbing systems, installation techniques, and relevant regulations. They will also receive intensive hands-on training in cutting, bending, and threading pipes, joining pipes using various methods, and testing systems for leaks. Additionally, the program covers job readiness skills, including communication, digital literacy, and health and safety protocols.


Funding:

This pre-apprenticeship program is funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) to address the shortage of skilled tradespeople in Ontario. This funding covers tuition, hand tools, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and all learning resources. Additionally, participants receive a paid placement during the program.


Recognition:

The program is recognized by MLITSD, ensuring that participants' pre-apprenticeship training is automatically recognized by the ministry.
