Physical Education All-Level Certification with Coaching Minor, B.S.

Program Overview

Texas Wesleyan University's Physical Education Degree Plan equips students to become exceptional physical education and wellness educators. Assessment:

• Students must maintain a combined GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• All EXS and EDU courses must be completed with a minimum grade of "C".
• Students must pass the TExES PPR and EC-12 PE Certification Exam.

Teaching:

• Students must be admitted to the PETE Program before they can begin additional coursework in the Physical Education Teacher Education program.
• The program requires a combined GPA of 2.75 or higher and a clean background check.
• Students must complete the TExES PPR and EC-12 PE Certification Exam to be eligible for Texas Teacher Certification.
• The program is offered both on-campus and online.
• Students can complete the program in four years.
• The program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
