• Data analysis and GIS: This module covers statistical concepts, data analysis, regression analyses, GIS concepts, data management, and project design.
• Environmental Inorganic Analysis: This module provides practical training in quantitative analysis of inorganic pollutants from natural and man-made sources.
• Hydrogeology and Water Quality: This module addresses water quality, diagnosis and management, hydrogeology, sub-surface fluid flow, and water quality and wastewater remediation.
• Air Pollution, Monitoring Impacts and Management: This module focuses on the dispersion and conversion of gaseous and particulate air pollutants, their impacts on health and the environment, and global air quality monitoring methods and management issues.
• Waste and Resource Management: This module addresses the management and utilization of municipal solid waste, and considers how the nuclear and mining industries reprocess waste within national and international legislation and environmental monitoring.
• Independent Research Project: This module allows students to conduct independent research under the supervision of academic staff and external organizations.
• River Thames Basin Water Quality: This case study investigates water quality in the River Thames Basin, analyzing chemical, physical, and ecological aspects and determining environmental and health impacts.
