Program Description:

The Oil and Gas Law with Professional Skills program is a postgraduate degree that is taught over 12 months (full-time) or 24 months (part-time). The program is open to students with a law degree or equivalent qualifications. The program combines theoretical and practical elements. You will study a range of core modules, including:

• International Energy and Environmental Law
• Oil and Gas Law Skills: Exploration and Production
• Contracting in Hydrocarbon Operations
• Downstream Energy Law
You will also have the opportunity to undertake a dissertation on a topic of your choice. The program also includes a professional skills module, which will provide you with the opportunity to develop your practical skills in a simulated environment.

• Semester 3: Core module (Oil and Gas Law Professional Skills: Exploration and Production) and optional modules (International Energy and Environmental Law, Oil and Mining Resources for Good and Development)
