Floral Design

Program Overview

The Floral Design Certificate of Completion is a two-year evening program that prepares students for employment in the floral design industry. The program includes courses in floral design, and students will gain the skills and knowledge to seek jobs beyond entry-level positions. This program is classified as a "Vocational Studies" program and is offered tuition-free.

The Floral Design Certificate of Completion (#24242) is offered in the evening only and can be completed in two years.

• Required Courses:
• VOC AGR25 - Floral Design 1
• VOC AGR26 - Floral Design 2
• VOC AGR27 - Floral Design 3

Careers:

Students completing the Floral Design Certificate will be prepared to be employed in the floral design industry. They will have the skills and knowledge to seek jobs beyond entry-level positions, such as first-line supervision and/or management and Floral Designers.

• This program is classified as a "Vocational Studies" program.
• Vocational Studies classes, also known as "Noncredit," are financially supported by the state of California and are offered tuition-free.
• Noncredit classes are designed to provide students with a high-quality learning experience with the opportunity to gain new skills and embark on new career pathways.
• Noncredit programs at Mt.
SAC include Adult Basic Education (ABE), Education for Older Adults (EOA), English as a Second Language (ESL), Short-Term Vocational (STV), Vocational Re-Entry (VRE), and IMPACT/Adults with Disabilities (AWD).
• This certificate is offered within the Short-Term Vocational (STV) program.
