Mindful Eating - Study day
Program Overview
The Mindful Eating - Conscious Living program is an eight-week mindfulness program designed to help participants establish a regular mindfulness practice and make better choices to manage their mood and stress levels. The program consists of eight weekly sessions, each lasting two hours, and is led by Christine Ramsey-Wade, a chartered and registered counselling psychologist with extensive experience in mindfulness meditation and teaching.

The Mindful Eating - Conscious Living program is an eight-week mindfulness program designed to help participants establish a regular mindfulness practice and make better choices to manage their mood and stress levels. Participants will also learn how to be less anxious and more at ease around food and eating.
Structure:
The program consists of eight weekly sessions, each lasting two hours. The sessions include a combination of didactic teaching, guided meditations, group discussions, and individual exercises.

- Module 5: Body Awareness
- Module 6: Self-Compassion
- Module 7: Mindful Eating in Daily Life

Teaching methods:
The program utilizes a variety of teaching methods, including didactic teaching, guided meditations, group discussions, and individual exercises. Participants are encouraged to actively participate in the sessions and ask questions.

Orientation session:
Before applying for the program, participants are required to attend a free orientation session. The orientation session is an opportunity to learn more about the program, ask questions, and experience a short mindfulness practice.
Mindful Eating questionnaire:
Participants are required to complete a Mindful Eating questionnaire before applying for the program.
Compulsory orientation sessions:
The orientation sessions are compulsory for all participants.

The College of Health, Science and Society at UWE Bristol has excellent facilities for learning, including dedicated classrooms, computer labs, and a library.
