The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) track focuses on improving mental health care for individuals of all ages. It emphasizes mental health promotion through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of behavioral problems, mental disorders, and comorbid conditions in various healthcare settings. Graduates can work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Program Description:

The program is designed for registered nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) who wish to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health. The program consists of 68 credit hours and can be completed in four years for BSN-DNP students, or three years for MSN-DNP students. The program uses a blended learning format, with online coursework supplemented by on-campus sessions once a week. The curriculum covers a range of topics, including:

The program is a Full Post BSN-DNP program with minimal residency requirements.
