Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


Undergraduate Entry:


UK & EU Students:

  • GCE A levels grades AAB, including at least one of Mathematics or Physics plus an A level Science subject (Chemistry or Geology).
  • Alternatively, a BTEC National Diploma or Extended Diploma in Engineering with Distinction, Merit, Merit in the Science units, plus A Level grade A in Mathematics.
  • An IB Baccalaureate with 35 overall including a minimum of HL6 in three higher-level subjects, to include Mathematics and one other Science subject, and a minimum of SL5 in three subjects.
  • BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Science, with a minimum of Distinction, Merit, Merit in the Engineering units and grade B in Mathematics GCSE,
  • BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Performing Arts, with a minimum of Distinction, Merit, Merit in the Technical Theatre units, plus grade B in Mathematics GCSE and grade B in one of Physics or Chemistry.

International Students:

  • An International Baccalaureate (2015 onwards): 30 overall including a minimum of HL6 in three higher-level subjects, to include Mathematics and one other Science subject, and a minimum of SL5 in three subjects.
  • European Baccalaureate: 85% in total, with grade 85 equivalent to HL5 in IB subjects, and including Mathematics and one other Science subject.
  • High School qualifications equivalent to a UK A level grade B in Mathematics and A Level grade C in one of Physics or Chemistry must be achieved.
  • Additional requirements of a minimum grade of 70% in five Higher or Advanced Level subjects (including at least one Science) may also be required.
