Entry Requirements:


Academic entry requirements:

  • A 1st class BSc honours degree, or international equivalent, in:
  • Computer science
  • Mathematics
  • Statistics
  • An engineering discipline with programming experience
  • Applicants from non-standard backgrounds and individuals with strong relevant work experience are encouraged to apply and will be considered on an individual basis.
  • Specific requirements for international qualifications can be found in the ‘Qualifications from outside the UK’ section.

English Language requirements:

Applicants whose first language is not English must have achieved the following scores in a recognised English language test:

  • IELTS: 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic): 60 overall, with no less than 55 in any component
  • TOEFL: 90 overall with 20+ in Writing and no less than 19 in any other subtest
  • Other equivalent English language qualifications may also be accepted.
  • Applicants who are within 0.5 of the required IELTS score may be considered for entry onto a pre-sessional English course.

Specific requirements for international students:
