  • It has been running successfully since 2004 and is entering its third term of funding.

Objectives:

  • Equip students with quantitative training in hydrology, hydraulics, and modern ICT for water management.
  • Provide a strong foundation in hydroinformatic concepts, methods, and tools.
  • Enable students to specialize in specific areas of water management, such as:
  • Software engineering and modeling (Cottbus)
  • Groundwater management (Warsaw)
  • Decision support systems (Catalonia)
  • Urban waters management (Nice)

Description:

The program spans four semesters over two years, with students studying at different partner universities throughout the program:

  • Semester 1: Introduction (at any partner university except Newcastle)
  • Semester 2: Hydroinformatic concepts, methods, and tools (Newcastle)
  • Semester 3: Thematic specialization (at any partner university except Newcastle)
  • Semester 4: Research development project or professional practice in industry (available at all partner institutions)
  • Students will receive a joint degree from all five participating universities upon successful completion of the program.

The program consists of modules totaling 120 European Credits Transfer System (ECTS) credits, including 36 ECTS credits at a partner institution. The modules focus on:
