Objectives:

• To equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
• To prepare students for Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• To provide students with a thorough understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles that can be applied to every business process in every industry.

Description:

The first two courses, MBA 579 Green Belt 01: Define and Measure (3) and MBA 581 Green Belt 02: Analyze, Improve, and Control (3), focus on building the student's knowledge and capabilities to become Six Sigma Green Belt certified.

Green Belts function under the supervision of a Six Sigma Black Belt to apply Six Sigma methodologies.

The last two courses, MBA 586 Lean Six Sigma Black Belt 01: Loss Identification and Intelligence (3) and MBA 588 Lean Six Sigma Black Belt 02: Loss Eradication and Prevention (3), are designed to train students to become Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified.

Black Belts are professionals who can describe, apply, and teach Lean and Six Sigma concepts and principles.

Additionally, the program offers the following benefits:

Course descriptions:

• MBA 579 Green Belt 01: Define and Measure (3): This course introduces the DMAIC model and its application in Six Sigma projects.
Students learn how to define project goals, identify key process inputs and outputs, and measure process performance.
• MBA 581 Green Belt 02: Analyze, Improve, and Control (3): This course focuses on analyzing process data to identify root causes of problems, developing and implementing improvement plans, and controlling process performance.
• MBA 586 Lean Six Sigma Black Belt 01: Loss Identification and Intelligence (3): This course examines advanced Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques for identifying and eliminating waste.
