This LLM program offers flexibility with a choice of courses and specializations in Intellectual Property, Biotechnology, International Law, or US Law. Core Courses (24 credits required):

  • Students can choose from a variety of courses to fulfill the 24-credit requirement.
  • Students may take up to 6 credits from the JD curriculum with approval from the Director of the LLM program.
  • A maximum of 6 Advanced Standing credits may be granted for prior coursework.
  • Students can choose to specialize in one of the four designated areas:
  • Biotechnology and Health Law
  • International Law and Business
  • US Law and Legal Methods
  • To earn a specialization, students must complete 5 courses listed for the specialization and file the appropriate form with the Law Registrar.

Teaching:

  • The program uses a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, and independent research.
  • The faculty is experienced and experts in their respective fields.

Other:

  • The program prepares students for a variety of careers in law, business, government, and academia.
