Entry Requirements:
To be eligible for admission to the PhD in Religious Studies program at Marquette University, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree: Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or its international equivalent before starting the program.
- Master's degree: A master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in theology, religious studies, or another relevant field is required. A Master of Divinity degree is acceptable for prospective doctoral students.
- Classical language proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in a classical language relevant to their area of research.
- Minimum GPA: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
- English proficiency: Non-U.S. citizens must demonstrate English proficiency through TOEFL scores or other acceptable means.
