Program Outline

Structure:
The program is offered as a full-time, 1-year postgraduate diploma or a 2-year master's degree. Students can exit with a postgraduate certificate after completing 60 credits or with a postgraduate diploma after completing 120 credits. The program comprises four 30-credit modules, including two compulsory modules:
- Health and Wellbeing: Challenges and Controversies
- Advanced Methods in Research and Development in Health and Social Care Students can choose two optional modules from the following:
- Ethics and Professional Decision Making
- Transforming Practice Through Person-Centred Collective Leadership
- Critical Application of Advanced Compassionate Communication in Health and Social Care Practice
Outline:
Year 1:
- MSc Project (60 credits): Students complete a research project, service evaluation, or project development initiative under the guidance of an MSc supervisor.
- Advanced Methods in Research and Development in Health and Social Care (30 credits): Develops research skills and applies them to research, service evaluation, or project development.
- Health and Wellbeing: Challenges and Controversies (30 credits): Explores and debates issues in health and wellbeing, utilizing theoretical frameworks for analysis and discussion.
Optional Modules (Year 1):
- Ethics and Professional Decision Making (30 credits): Analyzes the complexities of professional decision-making and its role in ethical and safe care delivery.
- Transforming Practice Through Person-Centred Collective Leadership (30 credits): Develops leadership skills and contributes to quality improvement initiatives through person-centered practice.
