Entry Requirements:
EU Home Students:
- Qualification:
- A degree from a university in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland.
- Or, an equivalent standard (normally 50%) in a Graduate Diploma, Graduate Certificate, Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma, or an approved alternative professional qualification.
- Experience:
- Must be currently working in a teaching or training environment.
International Overseas Students:
- Same requirements as EU Home students.
- Additionally, must meet the English Language Requirements (see below).
Maximum APL (Accreditation of Prior Learning) Credits:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education with Specialisms: 60 credits
- MEd with Specialisms: 120 credits
- Applicants with relevant experience may be eligible for exemptions from particular modules.
- The number of APL credits that can be claimed is limited (see table above).
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- For international applicants, the minimum requirement is Academic IELTS 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5.
- The university recognizes a number of other English language tests and equivalent IELTS scores.
