Program Overview
This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to become leaders in the built environment and contribute to creating sustainable cities, towns, and communities. Students will learn about sustainability, urban design, planning systems, regeneration practices, and development processes. The program offers opportunities for students to apply their learning through a year-long placement and experience global planning practice through study exchanges.

Structure
This course is offered as a:
- 3-year full-time (BSc)
- 4-year full-time (Integrated Master's - MSci). The first three years of both courses are identical and both courses have an optional placement year. You will:
- Study two semesters in each academic year.
- Take three 20 credit point modules each semester.
- Complete 60 credits in each semester.
- Spend 1 credit equal to 10 hours of student participation on a module.
- Attend classes across 2-3 days per week, working in the library or the Urban Planning Studio during the rest of the week.

- Year One: Creating Development, Sustainable Development in the Built Environment, Law, Governance and Society, Planning and Regeneration, Valuation Principles, Housing and Neighbourhoods
- Year Two: Ethics and Professional Planning Practice, Planning and Digital Technologies, Spatial Planning and Practice, Law of Real Property, Integrated Regeneration Project, Urban Design and Place Making
- Year Three: Ethics and Professional Planning Practice (optional), Professional Practice - Planning, Regeneration and Development (optional)
- Year Four: Healthy Communities, Resilient Places, Community Planning and Regeneration, Environmental Impact Assessment, Research Methods and Literature Review, Integrated Development & Finance Project, Community Planning and Delivery Outcomes, Professional Practice - Planning, Regeneration and Development (optional)
- Year Five: International City Planning and Development, Inclusive Engagement, Leadership for Planning and Regeneration, Research Design and Regeneration Project I, Research Design and Regeneration Project II, Coastal and Marine Planning Each module consists of a combination of:
