The course provides a comprehensive exploration of business sustainability and innovation, with a focus on how these aspects can intertwine to create successful and sustainable businesses. Through a combination of theoretical and practical frameworks, participants are equipped to identify and analyze relevant key performance indicators (KPIs). Building and applying business models becomes a core aspect of the learning experience as participants work in teams, gaining valuable insight into the creation and capture of value.

- Review necessary financial underpinnings and structures for sustainability.
- Theme 3: Business Sustainability and Management Accounting:
- Analyzing Financial Statements (incl Ratio analysis) in the context of sustainability.
- Working Capital, Inventory, Receivables, AND Cash Management
- Managing creditors.
- Capital investment decisions, Budgeting, and Cost Behaviour.
- Decision making in budgeting, considering behavioural issues.

- Knowledge about triple bottom line, business model canvas, and business model design.
- Understanding the relationship and interplay between financial performance measures.

- Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th, and Friday 15th March 2024.

Assessment:
Coursework (100%):
1) Report (75%):
- Analyze the financial health and performance of a chosen business using a provided case study.
- Report length: 3000 words.
- Report structure includes:
- Executive Summary
- Introduction & Company Rationale
- Findings & Analyses
- Conclusion & recommendations 2) Group Presentation (25%):
- Presentation length: 20 minutes.
- Groups of up to 4 participants.
- Individual contribution component: 30% of total presentation mark.
- Participants must pitch a chosen innovative business model to a designated CEO, explaining the reasons behind their selection.
