Year One:
- Six taught modules (120 credits).
- Substantial independent Masters Project (60 credits).

Entry Requirements:
Domestic Students (EU Home Students):
- (i) Upper Second Class Honours Degree: Applicants must have obtained an upper second-class honours degree or better in a relevant subject area such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related discipline. This degree must be from a UK or Irish university or an equivalent institution recognized by the University.
- (ii) Equivalent Standard: Applicants may also be considered if they have achieved an equivalent standard of at least 50% in a Graduate Diploma, Graduate Certificate, Postgraduate Certificate, or Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant subject area.
- (iii) Exceptional Circumstances: In exceptional cases, individuals with significant experiential learning may be considered for alternative entry routes. These individuals must provide a portfolio of written evidence demonstrating their proficiency in the subject area, including graduate qualities and specific learning outcomes as determined by the program's Course Committee.
International Students (Overseas Students Outside the EU):
The entry requirements for international students are the same as those for domestic students. However, international students must also meet the following additional requirements:
- English Language Proficiency: Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate competence in written and spoken English. The minimum requirement is an Academic IELTS score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5. Alternatively, they can provide equivalent English language test scores comparable to the IELTS score.
