Entry Requirements:


MRes / MPhil / MPhil-PhD

  • A first or second class honors degree from a UK university, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Applicants with other qualifications may be considered on their merits, considering the nature and scope of the proposed program of study.

PhD - Direct Application

  • An MRes/MPhil degree from a UK university or an equivalent qualification from a non-UK university in a relevant subject area.
  • Exceptionally, a high-quality honors degree or taught master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and significant peer-reviewed publications may be accepted.

  • Applicants whose first language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with no sub-test less than 6.0.
