  • Typically hold an appropriate Ordinary bachelor's degree in a health (but not exclusively) related field.
  • Non-standard entry is available for individuals without a degree but with sufficient professional or practice-based experience (e.g., 2+ years in a mental health or forensic mental health context with written report responsibilities).
  • Progression is also possible for graduates of the short module Forensic Mental Health (New College Lanarkshire, Motherwell Campus) and the Graduate Certificate in Personality Disorder program (UWS).
  • These applicants must have achieved a pass rate exceeding 60%.

Language proficiency requirements:

The University sets minimum English Language proficiency levels for applicants whose first language is not English.

Another option is the English Language for University Study program( 10 or 7-month versions), requiring UKVI IELTS scores of 4.0 in all sections and 4.5 with no score below 4.0, respectively.
