Program Overview


The New Zealand Certificate in Nail Technology is a one-year program that prepares students for a career in the nail industry. It covers a wide range of topics, including nail science, business practices, natural nail services, nail augmentation, and nail art. Students will gain practical experience through industry placements and access to UCOL's purpose-built nail salon. Upon completion, graduates will be qualified to work as nail technicians, nail artists, or start their own nail technology businesses.

This program prepares individuals for a career in the nail industry by teaching them the skills to perform manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel nail application, nail sculpture, and 3D nail art to a professional standard.
