The UNIC Pre-Master's in Law & International Relations equips students with foundational knowledge and skills for postgraduate studies. Through four core modules, it develops critical thinking, research methods, communication, and applied concepts. Successful completion prepares students for entry into the UNIC Master's in Law & International Relations or related programs elsewhere.

This one-semester Pre-Master’s program prepares students for entry into a Master's degree in Law & International Relations by equipping them with fundamental knowledge and developing intellectual, practical, and communication skills.
# # Stage 1: Pre-Master's
Modules:
The Pre-Master's program consists of four core modules:
Interactive Learning Skills and Communication for Postgraduate Study:
- Focuses on developing essential skills for postgraduate studies, including: independent and collaborative learning, academic discussion, active listening, critical analysis, effective research, data analysis, writing, reflection, revision, and understanding dissertations.
Applied Concepts:
- Guides students through key concepts and activities required for writing reports at the postgraduate level. Encourages reflection through tutorials to improve decision-making skills based on theory and practice. Applicable to other modules in the program.
Research Methods for Postgraduate Study:
- Introduces qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research methodologies.

- Mini-dissertation (1,000 words)

Successful completion of this program prepares you for the Law & International Relations Master's at UNIC or entry into other related Master's programmes in this field elsewhere.
Other:
- The Pre-Master's program takes one semester and starts twice annually in January and May.
- The total fee for the Pre-Master's in 2023 is £8,300, while the subsequent Law & International Relations Master's fee is £16,500.
