Degree Overview:

This course, part of Te Pūkenga, builds upon "Pattern Drafting Your Own Tailored Jacket, Part 1". It equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills to style and construct a tailored jacket with advanced techniques, including adding pockets and exploring construction methods. Additionally, students will:

  • Create a lining pattern and discuss the use of shoulder pads.
  • Explore the various uses of fusible interfacings and their impact on the final product. Create a lining pattern for your jacket, and discuss the potential benefits of using shoulder pads. Refine your tailoring skills through practical application.
  • Structure: The 20-hour course runs over three Saturdays or Sundays (9:00 am - 4:30 pm) in Room G102 at the Nelson campus.
