This half-year course is designed for individuals who are passionate about tools and machines and want to pursue a career in the forestry industry in New Zealand. It focuses primarily on landing operations. Participants will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to play a key role in harvesting production forests by working in a commercial forest harvesting landing operation. The program combines practical learning, theoretical knowledge, and real-world industry experience. Students will have the opportunity to work with a real harvesting crew on NMIT's own harvest site, putting their skills and knowledge into practice under the guidance of experienced professionals.
