- Requires completion of 60-75 credits from Schedule A or Schedule A and B courses.
- Requires completion of a 45-60 credit research report or professional practice report from Schedule C.

- Research reports can be completed over 3 months full-time as a practicum course under expert supervision.

- Research Report (MVM) (60 credits): More extensive research report.
- Advanced Professional Practice in Veterinary Science (45 credits): Supervised placement in veterinary practice with report writing and case study applications.

- Entry Requirements: Requires a Massey University Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent qualification. Minimum B grade average required in veterinary degree.
- Entry for Non-Qualifying Applicants: Completing at least two MVM courses within another Massey qualification may allow entry.
