Project details:
This project will focus on theoretical studies of superconductivity under applied pressure. The work will be done at Loughborough University, a leading research institute in condensed matter theory and novel materials. The successful applicant will collaborate with the supervisors, post-doctoral researchers and PhD students in the group on a weekly basis and interact with international and national leading partners and academic visitors.
Admission requirements
Applicants should have, or expect to achieve, at least a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in physics or related subject. A relevant Master’s degree and/or experience in one or more of the following will be an advantage: theoretical physics, quantum field theory and many-body physics, statistical physics, computational physics. We welcome applications from students with a diverse background.
