Admission Requirements
Entry Requirements:
A-level:
- Grades AAB at A-Level.
- Alternatively, A-Level grades ABB including either A-Level Mathematics or Computer Science.
- Excludes General Studies and Critical Thinking.
International Baccalaureate (IB):
- International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 34 points overall, including 6,6,5 from three Higher Level subjects.
Access HE:
- Considered for students with the Access to Higher Education Diploma in Computing.
- Minimum academic requirement is 60 credits overall, with 45 credits at Level 3, of which 30 credits must be at Distinction and 15 credits at Merit or higher.
- Applications considered on a case-by-case basis.
- GCSE Mathematics at grade B/5 required in addition to the Access qualification.
GCSE:
- Minimum five GCSE passes including English at grade C or 4 and Maths at grade B or 5.
Extended Project Qualification:
- Alternative offers may be made to applicants taking the Extended Project Qualification.
Non-UK students:
- To apply, you must be either:
- a citizen of the UK or European Economic Area (EEA)
- or have lived in the UK or EEA for the past three consecutive years
International qualifications:
- Queen Mary accepts a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications.
- You may also be able to meet the English language requirement by joining a summer pre-sessional programme before starting your degree.
