Admission Requirements
Entry Requirements:
UK Students
- Standard Offer: AAA at A-Level, including A in Mathematics. General Studies, Critical Thinking, and Use of Mathematics are excluded.
- Contextual Offer: AAB at A-Level, including A in Mathematics. General Studies, Critical Thinking, and Use of Mathematics are excluded. This offer is available to care-experienced students, refugee/asylum seekers, or students who have completed Realising Opportunities or Access to Queen Mary.
- IB Diploma: Minimum of 36 points overall, including 6,6,6 from three Higher Level subjects. A minimum of 6 in Standard Level Mathematics is required if not taken at Higher Level. Either Mathematics: Applications and interpretation or Mathematics: Analysis and approaches at Standard or Higher Level will be considered.
- Access to HE: Applicants with the Access to Higher Education Diploma are considered. The minimum academic requirement is to achieve 60 credits overall, with 45 credits at Level 3, of which 30 must be at Distinction and 15 at Merit or higher. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants are also expected to have achieved A-Level Mathematics at grade A.
- EPQ: Alternative offers may be made to applicants taking the Extended Project Qualification. The program is designed for students who have completed a good high school education consisting of at least 12 years of study.
- English Language Requirements: Minimum IELTS 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
International students whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency through an accepted English language test. The minimum IELTS requirement is 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
Additional Notes:
- Students with GCSE and A-level qualifications taken in the UK are not eligible for the Integrated Foundation Year program. They are recommended to apply for the relevant three-year program with entry in year 1.
