Program Overview


The Certificate IV in Automotive Electrical Technology is a 39-week blended mode program designed for individuals with a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent experience. It covers 10 units of competency, including diagnosing complex system faults, testing batteries, and implementing WHS policies. Students must be 18 years or older, have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent, and have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0.

Note:

AURTTA021 is superseded by and equivalent to AURTTA121. Students will receive teaching for AURTTA121 and receive a Statement of Attainment for it upon completion.

  • Students must have completed the "Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology" (AUR30320) or possess equivalent competency.
  • Students must be 18 years old and above.
  • Successful completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent is required.
  • Students are responsible for acquiring the necessary IT equipment and maintaining a suitable study space.
