Completion of NZ Diploma in Environmental Management (with a Terrestrial strand) (Level 5)

This is the primary pathway for those enrolling in this diploma program. Successfully completing the Level 5 diploma in the same strand demonstrates the required foundation knowledge for this level 6 program.


Equivalent Qualification

Candidates with qualifications considered equivalent to the Level 5 diploma may also be eligible. These qualifications could come from alternative educational institutions or programs with demonstrably relevant content and rigor.


Evidence of Relevant Knowledge and Experience (For Applicants 20+ Years Old)

Individuals 20 years of age or older who lack formal qualifications but possess demonstrably relevant knowledge and skills can apply. They must provide convincing evidence of these abilities and their potential to excel at the diploma level, often through an enrolment interview.


Exceptional Circumstances

In rare situations, individuals without formal entry qualifications but demonstrating exceptional aptitude through other means may be considered. They must convince the Programme Coordinator of their ability to thrive in the program and provide relevant documentation for evaluation.

  • Applicants whose first language is not English should have gained NZCEL Level 4 or have an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5 (or equivalent as per NZQA guidelines)..."
