- Content: This short course introduces the specialist techniques of verre églomisé (gilding on glass) and oil gilding. Verre églomisé involves applying loose gold leaf to glass and etching designs, followed by sealing with colored enamel. Oil gilding is suitable for external architectural features, including wood and stone, but in this course, students learn to apply it to plaster.
- Structure: The course runs for 5 days, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day.

- Verre églomisé: This module covers the application of loose gold leaf to glass, etching designs in gold leaf, and sealing with colored enamel.
- Oil gilding: This module teaches students how to apply loose gold leaf to plaster using a gilder's tip and how to identify and fix areas where the gold hasn't taken.
Teaching:
- Teaching methods: The course uses a combination of demonstrations, hands-on practice, and individual guidance.
- Faculty: Rian Kanduth is the tutor for this course. She is a woodcarver and conservator with extensive experience in gilding techniques.
