Leadership Development Series Recognition of Achievement program

Program Overview

The Leadership Development Series is a part-time program designed to enhance leadership skills for various industries. It comprises 12 courses that can be taken in any order, with instructors experienced in leadership development. Graduates are prepared for roles in management, human resources, and other fields, and may also develop skills for starting their own businesses.

Program Outline

Outline:

• The program comprises 12 individual courses.
• Each course is delivered in a part-time format.

• Students are recommended to complete BUSN 0208 Employment Law – LDS (ODE) before BUSN 0210 Human Relations – LDS (ODE).

Teaching:

• Developed by a consortium of Ontario colleges and industry professionals.
• Instructors are experienced professionals in the field of leadership development.
• Adult learning principles are used to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Careers:

• Graduates are prepared for roles in various industries, including:
• Management
• Human Resources
• Customer Service
• Sales
• Training and Development
• The program also helps students develop the skills needed to start their own businesses.

• Students should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

OntarioLearn (ODE) Courses:

• The program offers equivalent courses through OntarioLearn.
• Students can choose to take either the Georgian or OntarioLearn courses.

Credit for Prior Learning (CPL):

• Students may be able to transfer credits from other postsecondary institutions or receive credit for relevant work or life experience.
