Program Description:
The Sports Leadership and Management minor at Fairfield University focuses on instilling business acumen and leadership skills in students interested in pursuing careers in the sports industry. The program emphasizes ethics-based leadership and recognizes the importance of global diversity in all aspects of the sports industry. Students also benefit from exposure to various topics within sports management, such as human resources management, business and society, and entrepreneurship. The competitive nature of the sports industry necessitates strong networking and relationship building, which the program fosters through classroom engagement and internship opportunities. To facilitate this, the Dolan School of Business has a dedicated Director of Internships who actively seeks new opportunities for students.
