Degree Overview:

Construction electricians work in a wide range of buildings and facilities, on everything from lighting and climate control systems, to communication equipment and thousands of other specific tools and devices. They are designated as Construction Electricians under the Inter-provincial Red Seal program. Their work involves assembling, installing, commissioning, testing, maintaining, servicing and operating electrical systems and equipment. Most construction electricians work either as employees for contractors, on both residential and commercial construction projects, or as independent electrical contractors.

  • Ends with the Construction Electrician Level 1 exam
  • Successful completion provides SkilledTradesBC credit in Level 1 apprenticeship and 350 work-based hours
