• Welding Foundation (Certificate):
A 28-week program preparing students for entry-level positions. It equips them with foundational knowledge and skills in welding processes and procedures, preparing them for the Welder Certificate of Completion exam. Successful completion grants SkilledTradesBC credit for Welder Level 1 & 2 apprenticeship and 300 work-based hours.
• Welding Citation - Level B: This 16-week program provides advanced training in processes and applications, focusing on pipe welding, inspection, and standards.
Entry requires a combination of technical training and work-based field experience. Graduates write the Interprovincial Red Seal exam for this trade.
• Welding Citation - Level A: This 8-week program offers advanced training in low-alloy and stainless steel welding.
Entry requires a combination of technical training and work-based field experience.
• Apprentice Training: KPU offers full-time Apprenticeship training for levels 1, 2, 3, and Welder Endorsement Multi Process Alloy Welding (MPAW).
Level 1 & 2 programs are eight weeks, while level 3 is ten weeks.
• Youth TRAIN in Trades: This 24-week foundation-level training program is offered in partnership with various school districts.

• To register for any program, individuals must undergo an interview with a welding instructor at the Cloverdale campus.
Interviews are available from Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM and 9:30 PM.
• KPU also offers Welder Testing services for individuals seeking certification in various welding disciplines.
Testing occurs every Friday at the Welder Test Center in Cloverdale, starting at 7:30 a.m. Testers require personal protective equipment and tools.
