Nutrition (B.S.)

Program Overview

La Salle University's Nutrition (B.S.) program prepares students for careers in nutrition and dietetics. The program meets all Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics academic requirements and offers opportunities for focused electives or a minor. Graduates are qualified for the Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (DTR/NDTR) credential and can pursue Dietetic Internships to become Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RD/RDNs). The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

• Overview: The Didactic Program in Nutrition leads to a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition degree.
It meets all Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics academic requirements and offers opportunities for focused electives or a minor.
• Objectives:
• Prepare students for post-baccalaureate Dietetic Internships and graduate programs leading to the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential.
• Qualify graduates for the Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (DTR/NDTR) credential.
• Serve as a pathway to La Salle’s Master’s Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics Practice.
• Program Description: The program focuses on biology, chemistry, food service careers, and improving the lives of others.
