This part-time, 3-month module equips healthcare practitioners with research skills to support innovation, evaluate interventions, and audit clinical services. Through face-to-face sessions and independent learning, students learn research methods and design their own research, audit, or service evaluation project relevant to their practice. The module emphasizes the use of research evidence to drive change and improve patient outcomes.

Outline: Learning from this module will enable you to propose and design a simple research, audit or service evaluation project relevant to your area of practice.
Modules:
- Research, audit and service evaluation methods (AP7004) This compulsory module helps students engage with the world of health and social care research and research activity. Students will explore the use of research evidence to support practice innovation and change, evaluate clinical interventions, and audit clinical services. You will become familiar with the processes involved in research, service evaluation, and clinical audit, including design and methodology. Learning from this module will enable you to propose and design a research, audit, or service evaluation project relevant to your area of practice which will benefit patients, practitioners, and services.
