The Data Science (HTQ) CertHE program comprises the following modules:
Level 4 (Undergraduate year 1):
- Systems Design and Development (CT4023): This module introduces systems analysis and database design, using Agile Methods to transform business requirements into database systems. Students are also introduced to the requirements of being a Computing Professional.
- Programming and Mathematics (CT4101): This module covers the fundamentals of computer programming and explores fundamental mathematics, trigonometry, and physics algorithms and their applications in computer programming.
- Programming Algorithms & Techniques (CT4102): This module delves into data structures, compression techniques, programming design patterns, and file type format structures used in games development. It covers how to read and write these data structures to file and utilize them within games.
- Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (CT4103): This module offers a comprehensive introduction to the concepts and tools of artificial intelligence, assuming no prior knowledge. This provides a grounding for students to progress to level 5 modules in AI.

Entry Requirements:

- A minimum of 76 UCAS tariff points from level 3 qualifications, such as A-levels, BTECs, or other equivalent qualifications.
- A minimum of four GCSEs at grade C/4, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Completion of a Foundation Degree in a relevant subject may also be considered.
- No prior knowledge of data science is required, but students should have a strong interest in the subject and be prepared to study at a demanding level.
