Program: Diagnostic Radiography BSc (Hons) with Foundation Year


Degree Overview:

This four-year program equips students with the knowledge and skills required to become practicing Diagnostic Radiographers. Objectives:

  • Train students to safely examine patients using various imaging techniques (X-Ray, CT scanning, Fluoroscopy, MRI, etc.).

Program Description:

The program comprises a one-year foundation stage followed by three years of specialized Diagnostic Radiography studies. During the foundation year, students gain a strong foundation in healthcare topics, science, and research, preparing them for the demands of the degree program. Years 2, 3, and 4 involve dedicated study of Diagnostic Radiography, with a significant focus on practical experience. Students spend two days per week gaining hands-on experience in clinical settings, acquiring real-world skills and knowledge.

  • Students are expected to work out of hours, including weekend shifts.

UK and EU students

The standard fee for full-time home and EU undergraduate students enrolling on BA/BSc/LLB degrees and FdA/FdSc degrees in the 2024/25 academic year is £9,250 per year.


International students

The standard tuition fee for full-time international students enrolling on BA/BSc/LLB degrees and FdA/FdSc degrees in the 2024/25 academic year is £16,200 per year.


Course-related costs not included in the fees

We offer a wide range of professionally accredited and vocational courses that require the purchase of, among other things, uniforms, equipment, subscriptions, professional body memberships and Enhanced DBS checks, and may require you to pay to attend conferences or participate in placements. Students are required to meet all costs associated with placement e.g. travel costs to and from placement.
