Year 1 Modules:
- Audio Production and Postproduction Workflows: Introduces students to digital production and post-production processes for creating commercial film and television programs, examining current technical and aesthetic workflows for picture and sound.
- Editing I: Focuses on the fundamental theory and practical skills involved in sound editing for film and television, using industry-standard software like ProTools.
- Spatial Audio and Surround Sound: Explores multi-channel recording techniques and mixing using surround sound and immersive sound systems, utilizing AVID S6 consoles.
- Group Projects: Students collaborate on creative and technical projects with peers from other related courses, applying their learning to real-world scenarios.
- Individual Project: Students choose either a production project (creating a short film or pilot episode) or an individual research project, both with an academic report.

- Undergraduate degree: You should have some experience of audio media production at a 2:1 (or equivalent) level, gained either through an undergraduate degree or through professional practice. Applications are also considered from individuals with a 2:2 and significant relevant professional experience.
