Degree Overview:
The Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics at Vincent Pol University prepares students for careers as registered dietitians. The program focuses on the science and art of nutrition and its application to individual and population health. Program Content:
The program consists of a curriculum that includes both theoretical and practical components. Students will take courses in the following areas:
- Human Nutrition: This includes courses on the fundamentals of nutrition, nutrient metabolism, life cycle nutrition, and nutrition-related disorders.
- Biochemistry: This includes courses on the chemistry of life, including the structure and function of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids.
- Physiology: This includes courses on the function of the human body, including the digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, and nervous systems.
- Food Science: This includes courses on the composition, production, and preservation of food.
