Program Overview
The Recycled Fashion short course teaches participants upcycling techniques to transform old clothing into new garments or accessories. Course Description:
The Recycled Fashion short course aims to teach participants how to repurpose old clothing and transform it into new garments or accessories. The course starts with fashion and textile workshops where participants will learn various upcycling techniques like applique and embroidery, along with textile techniques like heat pressing. During the workshops, participants will create their own unique garments. The course also includes sessions on 3D modeling on mannequins, design development, fashion illustration using collage techniques, and photography and styling techniques.
Excluded Materials:
Participants need to bring their own garment(s) that they no longer use, such as shirts or jeans, pens, pencils, a sketchbook (if available), and a phone for taking pictures. All other materials are included in the course fee.
