The General Business Minor is designed for non-business majors who plan to pursue an MBA. It provides a foundation in accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, and business law. Completion of the minor requires 18 credits, including courses in principles of accounting, microeconomics, business finance, organizational behavior and management, legal environment of business, and principles of marketing.

The General Business Minor is created for students who are not majoring in business but might want to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Requirements:
- ACCT 2010 - Principles of Accounting I (3 credits)
- ACCT 2020 - Principles of Accounting II (3 credits)
- ECON 2220 - Principles of Microeconomics (3 credits)
- FNCE 3220 - Business Finance (3 credits)
- MGMT 3000 - Organizational Behavior and Management (3 credits)
- MGMT 3310 - Legal Environment of Business (3 credits)
- MKTG 3200 - Principles of Marketing (3 credits)
Notes:
- Completion of the students’ college-level math requirement is needed to take Principles of Accounting I and Principles of Accounting II.
- Students should take ECON 2210 as part of the General Education requirements.
