About Program
Program Overview
The Coaching Minor provides students with the knowledge and skills to coach in various settings, including schools and recreational facilities. The program includes required courses in athletic injury prevention, sports officiating, kinesiology, and coaching practicum, as well as advisor-approved electives in teaching sport skills and management. Upon completion, students will be equipped to effectively coach and manage sports teams and activities.

- PEXS 3025 - Sports Officiating (3 credits)
- PEXS 1510 - Introduction to Kinesiology (3 credits)
- PEXS 4600 - Athletic Coaching Practicum (3 credits)
- SALM 4210 - Legal Issues and Risk Management in Sport and Leisure Activities (3 credits)
