Therapeutic Mobility

Program Overview

This program teaches the principles of therapeutic mobility in rehabilitation, including body mechanics, functional mobility, and gait retraining. Students will learn to document and report interventions and findings, and will be prepared for careers in rehabilitation.

• Learn and apply the principles of therapeutic mobility within a rehabilitation context, including body mechanics, functional mobility, bed mobility, lifts and transfers, gait retraining, fitting gait aids, operating wheelchairs, and seating mechanics.
• Practise documenting and reporting interventions and findings.
