Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Program Overview

CMPT 1510: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence is a 3-credit course that introduces students to the concepts and applications of AI technologies. Students will explore supervised and unsupervised learning, data usage, deep learning, neural networks, and natural language processing. The course is offered in an in-person Hyflex format, with lectures and class sections available in Edmonton during the Winter term.

• This course introduces students to the different types and business applications of artificial intelligence technologies.
• Students will explore how artificial intelligence is being used and may be used in the near future in a wide range of industries.
• They will be introduced to the concepts of supervised and unsupervised learning, the use of data, deep learning, neural networks, and applications such as natural language processing.
