This Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education will furnish you with the skills and knowledge to direct early learning experiences for children aged from birth to 8 years of age. Your coursework will integrate First Nations epistemologies, education toward sustainability, as well as the well-being and health of children. You will develop the capacity to discern how connections with oneself, others, cultures, and environments are paramount to the process of educating and learning with young children. The curriculum is structured to develop inclusive educational practitioners who are equipped to guide play-based pedagogies and to effectively collaborate within multifaceted communities. Upon completion, you will have fulfilled the following requirements: 50 credit points of Core units 60 days of Professional Experience You will normally complete your first Professional Experience placement during your initial semester and the remaining two placements in subsequent semesters. Your Professional Experience will be accomplished through three units: EDP702 Professional Experience 6 - 8 years EDP703 Professional Experience 3 - 5 years EDP704 Professional Experience Birth - 2 years
