Program Overview
This online Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy provides registered pharmacists, especially those in rural areas, with advanced clinical pharmacy skills and research qualifications. The program includes a core unit on advanced clinical pharmacy practice and three elective units covering various disease states and their management. Upon completion, students can articulate into higher-level clinical pharmacy programs.

Degree Overview:
This course provides an opportunity for registered pharmacists, particularly those from rural and remote areas, to develop clinical pharmacy skills and qualifications in clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice research by offering a flexible education program delivered online. The course will provide a formal training program for pharmacists to provide clinical services. Online delivery will enable access by pharmacists from overseas, as well as from rural and remote areas of Australia. The course will support pharmacists in becoming accredited to conduct medication reviews, and enhance their role as a member of the health care team. It will develop their ability to communicate effectively with other health professionals and patients.
Outline:
Upon completion of this program, students will have acquired 50 credit points of study comprising one core unit and three elective units.

- CSA723 Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics in Respiratory and Renal Diseases: This self-directed, fully online unit explores diverse respiratory and renal disease states and their management, utilizing patient cases connected to assignment-based questions to augment knowledge in clinical pharmacy.
- CSA724 Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics in Infectious Diseases: This self-directed, fully online unit examines various infectious disease states and their management, employing patient cases linked to assignment-based questions to enhance knowledge in clinical pharmacy.
Careers:
Upon completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will be eligible for articulation into the Graduate Diploma of Clinical Pharmacy or Master of Clinical Pharmacy with advanced standing (50 credit points).
